The first of the four "Newton Hills" starts at mile 16. The Hills finish at the top of the famous "Heartbreak Hill" at mile 21. I have just climbed the first of the hills and am at the Newton Firehouse at mile 17.6. I have run my race so far according to my plan. My pace to this point has been 8:14 per mile, slightly better than my goal pace of 8:18 per mile.
